Mike Broomhead joins the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team and other Clear Channel Radio Personalities for a special Military Appreciation pregame event at Salt River Fields on Saturday, November 9th!
On Saturday, November 9th, Salt River Fields hosts the Arizona Fall League with a Special Military Appreciation pregame event featuring the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team and local celebrities from Clear Channel Media and Entertainment.  The Clear Channel Media and Entertainment players include Mike Broomhead, Mike Bauer, Jody Oehler, Matt McAllister, Priscilla Ornelas and Mike Jurecki.  The pregame event begins at 4:00 pm at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick located at 7555 N. Pima Road in Scottsdale.  Following the pregame, the Arizona Fall League game between the Salt River Rafters and the Peoria Javelinas begins at 6:08 pm.  There will be special guest coaches at the game, including Luis Gonzales, along with a special swearing-in ceremony of some of our country’s bravest young people.  

Salt River Fields at Talking Stick is graciously donating all proceeds from this special game to two organizations that support Veterans, Operation American Patriot and the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team.

More About the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team
The national Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team (WWAST), represents some of our nation’s bravest and most determined heroes, soldiers and veterans. These young extremely athletic men have sustained
severe injuries resulting in amputation while serving in the military/war, and through extensive rehabilitation, they have become competitive athletes again.
Their armor now includes prosthetic legs and arms, along with extreme perseverance and attitude. Together they comprise the NATIONAL WOUNDED WARRIOR AMPUTEE SOFTBALL TEAM.  This team tours the country inspiring people everywhere!
